Cascade Action Shooting Sports (CASS) strives to provide the North Carolina shooting community the opportunity to test their skills and compete with one another through a variety of unique stages and shooting challenges not typically offered elsewhere. Whether you're an old hand at competition shooting looking to elevate your skills to the next level, a new gun owner looking to build competency and familiarity in a safe, welcoming setting, or just looking to have fun with great shooters, CASS is your gateway to action shooting.

Match Details

  • You can find dates at https://practiscore.com/clubs/pcsl_two_gun_at_pha_by_cascade_action or https://cascadeaction.org
  • Registration is online via Practiscore.
  • Matches will be held in the rain.
  • Sign-in starts at 9:00 am and closes at 9:30 am.
  • Match Director and RSO's walkthrough is from 9:30 am to 10:00 am. (Safety Briefing) NOTE: if you miss the Safety Briefing, you will not be allowed to participate in the match. For non-PHA members, after 10:00 am, the access code to get through the gate will voided and you will not be able to enter the range.
  • The match starts at 10:00 am
  • The match ends at approximately 3:30 pm.

The match schedule for 2026 is as follows:

  • March 21st - PCSL Two Gun
  • April 18th - PCSL Two Gun
  • May 23rd - PCSL Two Gun
  • June 20th / June 21st - Two Fun Major Event
  • July 18th - PCSL Two Gun
  • August 22nd / 23rd - PCSL Two Gun Major Event
  • September 19th - PCSL Two Gun

Eligibility

The competition is open to the public, PHA Members, and their guests. All participants and spectators must sign a waiver (shooters waiver is on Practiscore, spectators will be on paper.)

Equipment

Competitors will require a carbine/pcc with a 2 point sling, handgun with a safe holster - NO SERPA or Uncle Mikes style fabric holsters and 3 magazines for each firearm. Caliber no greater than .308

Personal Protection Equipment: Hearing Protection, Eye Protection, and closed-toe footwear. 

Courses of Fire

Competitors can expect an average of three to four stages at the match. Stages will have a target round count that 20 to 30 rounds, estimated 150 carbine and 100 handgun rounds per match. 3 magazines for each firearm.

Note: Larger events will have 5 stages and a higher round count.

Scoring

Match is scored on PCSL Minor:
• K/T- Zone= 10, A- Zone=5, C- Zone=3, D- Zone=1; all divided by time

Entry Fees

Average (3-4 Stage) matches
$25.00 entry for PHA Members
$30.00 entry for non-PHA members

Large (5 stage) matches
$45.00 entry for PHA Members
$50.00 entry for NON-PHA Members

Range Rules Overview
This match is held under cold range conditions. Which is to state; all persons attending must have their guns in an unloaded and empty chamber condition.

Please clear your carry gun of all ammunition before coming to the range if you choose to use that gun or at the designated safety zones.
