Brivo Mobile Pass Information

Brivo Mobile Pass uses Bluetooth Low Energy technology to communicate with the reader.  For most phones, the mobile pass will work when the phone is within six-feet - line of sight of the keypad. 

The most common issue with the application is the member has replaced their phone and now the pass no longer works.  This is a security feature of the app to prevent multiple devices from having the same pass installed.  In short, while the app may have transferred, the data did not.

The symptom of an invalid pass is the user is presented with a screen asking them to login to Brivo.

This is confusing since our members generally do not have an account with Brivo to log into.  If you choose to create a Brivo account, you can and this will allow you to directly reissue your mobile pass when changing phones, but now you have another set of login credentials to remember.

The simplest way to fix the issue is to contact the support team and let them reissue your pass.  Any time you get a new phone, please send an email to this address asking for your pass to be reissued due to a phone change.  Be sure your full name is in the email so the support staff does not have to cross reference your email address to a member name.

After sending the message, be on the lookout for an email from Piedmont Handgunners Association <brivomobilepass@brivo.com>.

Within the email and toward the bottom will be a “Add Pass to Account” button.  Click the button and follow the prompts to install the new pass.  Please install the pass promptly.  The invitation to install expires 7-days after issued.

If you neglected to get a new pass issued after a phone change and you are at the gate, there is a phone number on the gatehouse you can call.  Be aware that this line is manned by a volunteer who may not be available when you call.
